What you'll be doing:
Senior Event Planner
£30,000 (DOE)
We're currently recruiting a dedicated Event Planner to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Restaurant Associates on a Fill time basis.
As a Senior Event Planner you will be responsible for leading a proactive approach to coordinating the conference and events bookings for the venues, conducting showrounds and meeting customers to establish final details, ensuring every customer receives a high standard and seamless service.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead proactive upselling of the facilities and always aiming to meet customer needs and exceed customer expectations.
Day to day management of the EP team, monthly 1:1’’s, agreed KPI’s.
Conducting reactive sales activities including responding to telephone and e-mail enquiries for final details
Following up on post-event calls within a specific time scale to optimise repeat business in liaison with Sales Exec TL
To achieve agreed upselling sales targets
Produce weekly and monthly data to support EP team performance
Ensuring all details and requirements of confirmed bookings are handed over accurately to the operations team and kitchen team
When required proactive calls focusing on past bookers, lost and turned down enquiries and lapsed accounts
Liaise with the client onsite teams to ensure a harmonised approach
Opportunity to attend venue showcase events and FAM Trips
To ensure invoices are generated and full pre-payment is received by the customer
To ensure final invoice revenue in Delphi is updated post event and SAP is updated accordingly
Update 3 rd party platforms along with the venue website with seasonal offers and packages
To always be aware of sales activity/initiatives of our competitors and use this market intelligence, acting upon it to ensure RA Venues obtains its market share in this sector
To maintain accurate, up-to-date reports and information
To ensure the team maintain the Delphi FDC booking system compliance benchmark
To maintain relationships with local event partners and LVP
Support innovative campaigns for the Sales and Marketing plan
To ensure the team are always responding positively and efficiently to customers, ensuring repeat business is optimised
To perform ad hoc tasks as directed
Cross-selling – multi location proposals within the contract
Support the Event Planners with daily queries
Train, support and development the venues Event Planning team

Who you are:
Our Ideal Senior Event Planner:
Will have extensive event planning experience within the UK conference and events industry
Will be experienced in achieving KPI’s and developing business strategy to achieve growth expectations
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an event planning role within a Conference & Events environment
Minimum 2 years Delphi experience front and back of house
The role requires an entrepreneurial personality with the drive to succeed and the ability to maximize the meetings and events revenue with a knowledge of the local market
A self-motivated individual with a strong desire to develop team management skills within a sales environment and must be a highly motivated pro-active self-starter, with commitment and drive for building strong customer relationships.
DESIERABLE EXPERIENCE
High degree of commercial awareness and to be able to understand links between sales and profit
Interface with client marketing and operations teams
Operational events experience
