We have the opportunity for an Event Supervisor to join our team. The successful applicant will be customer focused, organised, able to handle multiple jobs at the same time and have a good understanding of the live event industry.
This is an important role that provides an interface between Technical, Management and Event Staff with responsibility for the planning and on-site delivery of a variety of events to ensure the smooth delivery of live events.
Candidates would need to have strong all-round knowledge of audio, video, and lighting systems, and be comfortable using the different interfaces. (Chamsys, Nexo systems, Yamaha)
The ability to work under pressure, excellent in a hands-on environment and have great customer skills when dealing with clients and venues
The main duties of your position are:
- Providing leadership, motivation, direction, and technical support to your team and subcontractors on site at events and within the warehouse/unit setting. The ability to lead a team and represent the company.
- Coordinating large and small-scale events with customer priorities in mind
- Installing Lighting, Rigging, Audio, Visual and Media Equipment and advancing staff how to use.
- Administration including completion of all safety documents and ensuring asset and database is completed as required by all staff.
- Support in pulling together proposal documents and event design with customers and management team.
- Support in preparing event equipment from warehouse to event (including loading / unloading vans)
- Setting-up AV Equipment, Lighting Equipment, Dance floors and Staging
- Working at Heights up to 10m installing Rigging and Trussing Equipment
- To provide on-site Event Technician support to all staff with Audio, Lighting and Media equipment
- Venue liaison on-site, client liaison and relationship building at event
- Preparing, checking & loading equipment for events and ensuring Health and Safety is adhered to
- Delivering / collecting equipment in company vehicles up to 3.5 tonne
- Communicating with clients, suppliers, venue staff and crew both onsite and prior to an event.
- Preparation and management of health & safety documents and procedure
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY ATTRIBUTES OF THE CANDIDATE
- Previous extensive experience as an event technician is essential; this might be as an employee of an events AV company, within a venue, or, as a freelance technician. Ability to thrive under pressure of a live event. Supervisory experience preferred
- Flexibility and a can do, customer focused attitude.
- Technical and experience in live events is essential.
- Management of staff is preferred
- Good understanding of event power, cable runs and event-based health and safety
- Keen eye for detail with a high standard of equipment presentation.
- Full UK Driving License and own transport.
- A professional and courteous manner, able to radiate calmness and confidence under pressure
- Good IT skills including being competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Current RMS System

Salary: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
