Job description
This role has a direct influence in the delivery of data products and services into the systems and business processes, whilst also supporting the team design, build, test and maintenance of the data management systems, ensuring all meet our business requirements and user needs. You will be primarily responsible for the design and implementation of numerous complex data flows to provide crucial data for the analytics and BI systems.
You will:
- Apply a range of techniques for data profiling and source system analysis from a complex single source.
- You will Engage with partners, and stakeholder's to deliver a joined up end to end operation services.
- Design, write and iterate code from prototype to production ready.
- Integrate and separate data feeds to map, produce, transform and test new data products.
- Manage Stakeholder expectations and be flexible to business needs.
Person specification
- Establishes enterprise-scale data integration procedures across the data development life cycle and ensures that teams adhere to these. Manages resources to ensure that data services work effectively at an enterprise level.
- Expertise in exposing data from systems, linking data from multiple systems, and delivering streaming services.
- Designs, writes, and iterates code from prototype to production ready. Understands security, accessibility, and version control. Can use a range of coding tools and languages.
- Has a demonstrable understanding of how to expose data from systems (for example, through APIs), link data from multiple systems. and deliver streaming services.
- Experience in developing ETL.

- Experience and understanding of a variety of metadata management tools.
- Experience of Inputting design and maintenance of metadata repositories to understand data assets.
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and project delivery concepts.
- Experience of Developing fit for purpose, resilient, scalable, and future-proof data services to meet user needs.
- Knowledge of data modelling principles, understanding the opportunity for re-use and alignment between data models in different functional areas.
