As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:
The position requires the ability to major on problem solving and combining insights from data analysis, statistical/ML modelling and data visualization across the client business in order to deliver high impact results via a high performing dual shore team. It is what we think of as a “data translator” role, combined with stakeholder and team management.
Dual shore project management, coordination of all sub-team efforts, both onsite and offsite- Strong communications, including deck writing
- Facilitation and gathering of client feedback on problem structuring
- Management of feedback loop with team
- Identify gaps and help build capabilities in junior team members
- Mentor other team members and partners on technical skills, best practices, problem solving approaches, and standard patterns used at EXL – both formally in structured group settings and informally in one-on-one and small group sessions
- Continuously improve the team’s technical skills and expertise over tools—defining and enforcing standards when necessary to sustain the solutions’ effectiveness and sustainable, and experimenting with and promoting adoption of new tools and approaches when appropriate
- Proactively generalize and share technical approaches and best practices among other developers, and simplify and communicate success stories to broader audiences across the company
- Develop and grow Retail & Media practice working with the leadership team in the UK and globally
Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:
- 10+ years’ experience, preferably in management consulting or Retail or Media industry in an analytics capacity
- Experience in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), BI Tools (MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.), programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Scala, etc.), statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, Weka, SAS)
- Experience with one or more web analytics platforms (ex: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics etc)
- Experience implementing and/or working with clickstream web analytics tools such Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics; or working knowledge of the field of web analytics
- Experience in test & learn methodology and experimentation frameworks
- Experience of working in agile formats across multiple squads
- Understanding of digital marketing ecosystem and capabilities
- Experience in omni-channel engagement, remarketing, and customer segmentation
Skills and Personal attributes we would like to have:
- Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
- Entrepreneurial and hands on approach to work
- Ability to advice the client, provide guidance to the team and to manage end to end data and analytics engagements with a retail, media and digital focus
- Ability to structure analytical solution to address business objectives
- Bringing business acumen and appropriate hypotheses to solve business problems
- Be a people leader and a self starter
- Being very comfortable in liaison with, building relationships with the client and pushing back on clients as required
