Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Milton Keynes NHS Talking Therapies service as a Senior Employment Advisor (SEA).
The successful applicant will manage and support a team of Employment Advisors working as part of the talking therapies service. The aim of the employment advisors in talking therapies programme is to support people with common mental health problems to help them gain, return to or stay in work.
The main duties of the role are:
- To work with people that are unemployed and/or have challenges with their current employment. To encourage them to recognise the importance of productive work to good mental health and to help them plan a route into meaningful activity and employment.
- To work with Employers, Education and Training services, Employment Support Services and Third Sector Organisations to identify support mechanisms for people with a mental health problem who are seeking employment.
- To promote the service through work with employment and training agencies.
- To assist with the collection of data and service KPI’s.

The post holder will be part of the Milton Keynes Talking Therapies service which supports people with common mental health problems by providing psychological therapies. This role will manage and support a team of EA’s who are employed to provide employment support to people in order to help them gain, return to or stay in work.
