The Role
As the Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer (Principal Consultant) you will be part of the Electronics and Software team and will contribute to 42T’s client projects that have electronics content, with a focus on designing analogue electronics hardware.
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to deliver a high-quality consulting engineering services to our clients. To achieve this objective you will work with other project team members, including the project manager, to understand customer requirements and define solutions that meet those requirements.
- Contribute to the development of electronic systems which may comprise some or all of: power electronics, circuits generating or operating at high voltages (kV), circuits generating or operating at high currents(kW), transformers.
- Analysis & modelling of circuit and system performance particularly analogue circuit modelling using PSpice, LTSpice or similar.
- Definition of test schedules and test electronic circuits and systems.
About You
Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in electronic engineering or physics.
- Experience analysing, designing, constructing & testing electronic circuits.
- Test experience should include use of electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes and DVMs but also familiarity and experience testing high voltage (kV) and/or high power (kW) systems.
- Knowledge about working safely with high voltages (kV) and high powers (kW).
- Experience developing power supplies for a variety of applications.
- Able to work independently.
- The ability to participate as part of a creative multi-disciplinary team on a wide range of problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to explain technical work to colleagues and clients.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
