The Osler Origin is powered by a portfolio of novel techniques and approaches for sample addition, microfluidic sample preparation, and electrochemical biosensing, and Osler was formed out of the University of Oxford in 2017, following decades of research.
Having recently completed an $85m Series C fundraise, we are now entering a growth phase, where we are scaling our team as we take the Osler Origin product through regulatory activities, and towards market launch.
There is an exciting new role within Osler as a Senior Electronics Engineer, to perform full-cycle board-level electronics design activities from idea to product launch as well as contributing to higher level architectural decisions.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Plan own electronics design activities, estimate efforts, and review peer outputs
- Gather requirements for electronics design
- Take part in subsystem level DFMEA activities to help identify risks and suitable mitigations
- Write specification for electronics design
- Select components and liaise with component suppliers
- Perform architecture and functional design, including contributing to system level decisions
- Schematic and layout design
- Board bring-up, validation, characterization
- Liaise with Contract Electronics Manufacturers for initial board builds
- Support production (DFM, DFT, BOM cost optimization)
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Full-cycle board-level electronics design for products released to market
- Electronics design in any CAD tool, both schematic and layout
- Component selection (both on and off board)
- Understand measurement techniques and equipment
- Able to create clear and concise documentation
Desirable:
- Design experience working with complex electromechanical systems
- Measurement of very low-level signals (1 nV, 1 nA)
- Thermal management
- RF Design
- Altium Designer
- Medical Device/IVD development
