About the Role
The Senior E-Billing Specialist reports to E-Billing Supervisor and will be responsible for some of the firm's largest e-Billing clients, refining processes, educating key stakeholders and query management. Primary responsibilities include:
- Entire ownership of some of the firms largest clients' e-Billing processes
- Ascertain and enforce best practice with ongoing review and improvements
- Manage and maintain discounted rates in ExpertRates and corresponding rates in the e-Billing platforms
- Regular liaison with Collections and key client contacts, ensuring ownership and smooth invoice transition through to approved statuses
- Upload and status check of bills to e-Billing systems by request from the fee earner teams and billing report
- Onboarding of clients to e-Billing where a standard process can be applied
- Reconciliations of logged e-Billing invoices per client group on a scheduled basis
- Ensure queries and escalations are handled correctly and promptly through to appropriate resolution
- The ability to challenge key stakeholders both internal and external and build and maintain strong working relationships
- Initial point of escalation for the e-Billing administrators
EXPERIENCE
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- 3+ years of experience in an E-Billing specialist (or similar) role
- Excellent communication skills
- Accounts department experience including reconciliation experience
- Good IT skills and experience on financial applications. General technological awareness
- Process documentation, review and development
- Strong query resolution skills and excellent data input skills with first time accuracy
- Experience of working in a multi-currency environment (preferred but not essential)
- Experience of working in a shared service environment (preferred but not essential)
- Competent Excel and Word user
- Self-motivated, pro-active and driven to improve at all times
- A team player, capable of working together towards a common target
- Deliver a 'can do' and proactive approach at all times
