IT at Frasers Group is delivered by the in-house team who are passionate about what they do and are not dependent on outsourced organisations to deliver the core systems. There is a wealth of opportunity for training as well as on the job learning. We have a £5,000 per head annual training budget, as well as a bonus scheme where 8 peer nominated winners can earn double their monthly salary.
This role is available on a mainly remote basis with occasional Shirebrook office presence when required
You will be joining our newly formed Technology Enablement team – a team who drive innovation and creativity across our wider IT function. Our mission is to build, define and deploy development best practices, and to be a central resource for adapting and rolling out best practice across the business.
We are right at the start of our DevOps journey- you will be defining and creating a DevOps powerhouse to help our product teams deliver high quality software quicker.
- Working with our engineering and infrastructure teams to gather and translate requirements into deliverable solutions
- Migrating applications into Docker ready for Container Orchestration with Kubernetes
- Implementing CI/CD processes for releasing software across different environments.
- Designing, implementing and testing new and existing Infrastructure as Code solutions
- Using public/private cloud solutions to solve business problems
- Reviewing and improving our end-to-end DevOps stack. Automating and simplifying components
- Troubleshooting complex environments with curiosity and creativity. Learning and implementing solutions
- 3+ years in modern DevOps environments
- Keen to drive adoption of new technologies and techniques
- Docker / Kubernetes, both for CI / CD, and orchestrating in production with ECS / Fargate, AKS, OpenShift or Anthos
- AWS/Microsoft certified with skills in a second cloud platform
- Building deployment pipelines- GitHub
- Building automation tools such as NPM, Gradle or Maven
- Setting up and managing Cloud native environments using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), within AWS and / or Azure
- Delivering containerised, serverless, and virtualised infrastructures
- Comfortable with PowerShell, Python, Go, Bash or Ruby
