Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Edinburgh or Alderley Edge
Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

The purpose of the Senior Data Engineer role is to develop, test, implement, and operate data-led solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
In the Data Automation team, we encourage cross learning and invest in training to grow the skills within the team to encourage a strong community of engineers. The long-term plan for the role is to provide in-depth training on Azure cloud technology to help develop the successful candidate.
About the role
Working within a team to develop data solutions.
Leveraging metadata to drive automated data solutions.
Version-controlling and automating deployments/testing using CICD tools.
Collaborating closely with other members of the team.
About you
Experience in automating process using Python.
Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle
Good awareness of agile development practices.
Familiar with automated testing techniques and frameworks.
Ability to work as part of a team contributing effectively to your area.
It would be advantageous to have experience using Azure DevOps and Azure data services however training will be provided.
