Job description
The Precision Breast Cancer Institute (PBCI) are looking for a Senior Data Clerk to join their team. The PBCI (previously known as the Cambridge Breast Cancer Research Unit) is a purpose-built research facility attached to the Cambridge Breast Unit (CBU). It is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team, including oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, nurses, data managers, coordinators and bioinformaticians involved in translational research. The successful candidate will work alongside the Senior Data Manager and Computer Associate to develop and maintain clinical datasets to support legacy, current and future clinical trials and studies run by the PBCI, including the Personalised Breast Cancer Program (PBCP), which is the Cambridge Cancer Centre's flagship Whole Genome sequencing (WGS) project.
The successful candidate will work with existing hospital systems (EPIC), as well as legacy hospital systems (LARDR) and Achiever Medical LIMS, collating data from various sources to maintain retrospective and prospective research databases and spreadsheets within the PBCI. The Senior Data Clerk will be expected to lead on data validation and reporting, including regular reviewing of data provided by external sites. There will also be opportunities for participating in the design and testing of new Case Report Forms (CRFs) within Open-Clinica, and for providing training to new database users both within the PBCI and at external sites.
This post is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience of data management within clinical trials and studies. Experience using Open-Clinica would be a strong advantage. The role will primarily involve remote working, but sometime in the Cambridge based office may be required.
