We are looking for an experienced Data and Insights Analyst to join Business Information and Strategic Insights team to help us deliver academic and strategic planning service through provision of management information and data analysis. Role responsibilities
The primary focus of the role is to lead the development of solutions for provision of business intelligence information (BI) and performance indicators in all aspects of the University education activity, and to prepare analysis of quantitative data required by a variety of internal stakeholders. This includes but is not limited to analysis of student survey results, examination results and student equality, diversity and inclusion metrics.
You will work collaboratively across the University to provide high quality, comprehensive, rich data analysis and insights with which to answer complex, strategic business questions. You will need to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders across the wider Collegiate University to address education-related business information needs as well as anticipate future developments.
Your skills
- You have experience with analysis of large and complex data sets.
- You have working knowledge of best practices in processing and storing data, and experience in the use of data manipulation and visualisation tools such as Alteryx/Tableau/Power BI.
- You are curious and analytical and be able to explain the "so whats" behind the numbers.
- You have good attention to detail whilst able to maintain a view of the bigger picture.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
- You had good time management skills, are able to work under pressure and to switch between multiple tasks.
Location
The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. The Finance Division has embraced hybrid working and is currently trialling in-person working within teams two days a week from Greenwich House and three days worked remotely pro-rata. This arrangement is temporary whilst we are actively taking on board feedback from our colleagues.

Funding for this post is permanent. This appointment is full-time but part-time options of up to 80% will be considered. We are open to discussion on flexible working.
