Senior Data Services Analyst - UK, London
Full time/permanent role
Vistex seeks to appoint an experienced Senior Data Services Analyst to join its Data Services team, supporting world-class software and providing our clients with exemplary service. Your focus is to deliver post-sales, customizable solutions and support to the Counterpoint Suite client base – delivering client requirements for data migration and systems integration services. You will lead as a technical SME in multiple, simultaneous, complex migration and integration projects providing issue identification, resolution and tracking, status reporting, and consulting throughout the project life cycle. This role reports to the Head of Data Services.

Your focus is to deliver post-sales, customizable solutions and support to the Counterpoint Suite client base – delivering client requirements for data migration and systems integration services. You will lead as a technical SME in multiple, simultaneous, complex migration and integration projects providing issue identification, resolution and tracking, status reporting, and consulting throughout the project life cycle. This role reports to the Head of Data Services.
Responsibilities
- Define, plan, develop and implement robust integration and reporting solutions for our clients
- Gather and document client requirements; produce clear, concise functional specifications, data flows and test specifications
- Manage delivery of small-scale projects and manage own workload and delivery targets
- Administration, troubleshooting, support and maintenance of existing client solutions
- Contribute to the Data Services strategy for integration and reporting including technologies, methodologies and tools
- Recommend/implement improvements to the integration and reporting toolkit and associated processes
- Actively test and participate in quality assurance activities; use case management tools to document product issues and resolutions; provide feedback to development teams on product performance, stability, quality and supportability.
- Develop system, support and training documentation for use internally and with clients/end-users
- Perform on-site and web-based training covering all aspects of the solution (i.e. installation, implementation, integration, etc)
- Provide direct client technical service and support for software products and services via phone, email, desktop conference and on-site engagement
- Other duties as directed or required
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years’ full lifecycle experience with mid to large-scale integration/data migration software projects, using best practices of software implementation methodologies
- 5+ years’ experience writing and supporting SQL functions, packages, procedures, queries and reports (T-SQL, PL/SQL)
- Proven experience working with Oracle and MS SQL
- Exemplary client-facing, technical, business service and support capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to apply innovative, analytical and critical thinking to strategies, practices and problem-resolution; strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; proven capabilities interacting professionally with all levels of an organization – i.e. executives, technical teams, subject matter experts and end users both internally and externally; Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audience
- Software development skills using Python and Java
- Advanced PC skills and working knowledge of MS Visio, Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams
- High level of integrity and ownership for work products and timely deliverables; results oriented
- Proactive, enthusiastic, positive, can-do attitude; able to work independently and within a team
- Highly reliable and dedicated work ethic – consistent attendance and punctuality are critical
- Willingness to pitch in anywhere and wherever, as business needs demand
- Self-motivated; self-starting; highly-organized; collaborative
- Computer Science/Management Information Systems/Science/Engineering/Math/Finance
Highly Preferred
- Hands-on experience converting ERP software data and integrating data with SAP, Oracle and/or other enterprise class software
- Experience configuring and supporting End User reporting tools (Business Objects, Cognos, Crystal Reports, etc.)
- Music Industry background
