The Professional Triathletes Organisation seek to showcase the passion, talents and achievements of the worlds best professional Triathletes who strive to realise the highest levels of the sport and inspire all those who participate in triathlon.

We’re putting on the biggest events the sport has ever seen with our PTO Tour launched in 2022 hosting events in Canada, Slovakia and USA plus our celebrity ProAm in Los Angeles, we are now looking to build on that success in our second season and beyond.

We’re looking for a strong Senior Designer to join our high performing creative team to continue to shape our creative expression within the industry.

This is a unique opportunity to join a start-up that has attracted experience, talent and leadership from a wide variety of industries such as UFC, Uber, Meta, ATP, Sail GP and F1. You will have the freedom to truly be at the forefront of creativity in a growing sport.

The role reports into the Lead Designer. We are offering this role as a full time, London based.

About You

As the Senior Designer you will be passionate about all things creative, drawing inspiration from a wide array of influences and confidently applying your skills and experience to make your mark within your field. The role has a unique opportunity to work across the whole of the PTO, whether it’s head-turning bespoke campaigns, new business pitches or functional design across all company needs you’re a talented conceptual thinker who can adapt. Collaborating with the Content Team and wider PTO teams to maintain and develop the content strategy.

  • A proven career working as a senior creative designer
  • Reporting into the Lead Designer, you are able to lead multiple projects from kickoff to delivery, guiding the team through creative development and refinement rooted in brand strategy.
  • Self-starting individual who shows the initiative to problem solve, manage projects and complete tasks on deadline.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Designer and wider content team on creative ideation and storytelling for our athletes and events.
  • You design with the audience at heart, using design thinking and strategy to guide your approach in building exceptional brand systems and experiences • You have a clear understanding of design thinking, principles and strategy and how it helps to drive a project.
  • Understanding of functional design, type hierarchy, purpose driven design • You think creatively and propose new design ideas to further develop the brand identity and continuously evolve output to keep designs fresh and innovative.
  • Able to adapt to different brand styles and guidelines, maintaining consistency.
  • Enthusiastic team player but able to work on own initiative
  • Experience creating digital and print assets for a variety of target audiences. • Calm under pressure, resourceful and a creative problem solver • Highly organised, strong communication and excellent time management skills being able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise workload
  • You are driven to find exciting answers and recognise that challenges are often opportunities.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to take constructive criticism and deliver the changes expected

Skills

  • Must show portfolio showing the breadth of digital and print design capabilities.
  • 5+ years experience as a senior designer in a digital and print environment • Proficient user of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator • After Effects and 3D software as well as Keynote and office knowledge a bonus
  • Great concept skills with a good eye for composition, colour and layout. • High attention to detail and quick worker
  • Understanding of non agency workflow and departmental accountabilities
