As a Contracts Manager, you will interact daily with the business teams, leaders and our Transportation-sector client in Leeds. The role will review, draft, redline and negotiate day-to-day contract matters of various size and complexity for this significant contract.
Contract - Permanent

The Role:
- Manage and gatekeep prime client contract, including underlying proposal response and RFP/solicitation.
- Ensure prime contract alignment with related subcontracts, as well as vendor contracts.
- Develop and produce contract documents including change orders and amendments by understanding requirements; assembling standard language; inputting and editing information; obtaining approvals and signatures.
- Manage meta data, contract files, workload, and changes by inputting contract documents into CML tool weekly
- Manage contract obligations and in connection with C.O.R.E. ensure the business is aware of all contract obligations and track deliverables. Update changes and meet with the business at least quarterly to review and assign tasks/deliverables.
- Manage electronic signature process through e-signature tool
- Gatekeep contract quality results by following organization standards and Approval Matrix guideline.
- Meet contractual timelines and both internal and external client requirements.
- Acts as "first chair" in negotiations in coordination with the assigned attorney.
- Attend on-site client meetings (in Leeds)
Responsibilities include:
- Overall cradle to grave contract management and administration of large government client contract.
- Represent company in complex business negotiations involving client.
- Drive RFP/solicitation reviews and responses.
- Attend deal reviews and document risks coordinating with Sales, Finance, Operations, and all other subject matter experts.
- Draft and redline standard and non-standard contract documentation, including solicitations, purchasing, teaming, partnering, reselling and other transactional agreements such as SOWs, amendments or change orders.
- Analyse complex contract provisions and provide to management input and contract interpretation.
- Provide input to management concerning contractual rights and obligations specified in Solicitations, Proposals, RFP/RFI's. Recommend appropriate exception strategies for inclusion in proposals or the contract.
- Secure proper approval for non-standard contract clauses or changes in key risk areas. Also ensure conformity and consistency in application of Conduent legal and business policies and practices and Approval Matrix items.
- Perform due diligence of contracts.
- Ability to multitask and manage all types of assignments in a selling environment where timeliness is key
Experience/Skills:
- Relevant experience in contracts management (ideally client contracts)
- Additional language spoken would be advantageous
- Detailed knowledge of redlining documents
- In depth knowledge of Solicitations/RFPs and the contracting process is also necessary
- In-depth experience in contract and proposal processes
- Strong management skills and ability to working independently as well as with a virtual and international team
- Must be able to operate effectively in a team environment
- Digital Signature and CML tool experience
- It's an exciting time at Conduent as we roll out a new contract management system (Icertis). Experience with a CML tool a plus
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent management, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge and execution of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc), as well as knowledge and experience using CML tools
