You will be working as a Senior Consultant within our International Benefits Team providing advice, broking and consultancy to a portfolio of clients. Supported by the International Co-ordinator from an administration perspective, you will develop a close working relationship and understanding of how each other works to best service our clients. The schemes will be a mix of experience rated and large age-rated schemes and may also include other products such Risk, Travel, EAP. You will be responsible for managing the client relationship for yourself and through the help of your International Account Coordinator. The role will predominantly be face to face with clients but also via telephone, email and Teams. As this role will involve managing a portfolio of client renewals, being well organised is an essential skill. What will you be doing? Provide advice and consultancy to colleagues and clients in respect of their International Private Medical Insurance & other associated schemes. This will include a variety of tasks including but not limited to: Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the International Private Medical Insurance products. Provide excellent client service and advice in areas of iPMI and additional associated products such as Risk, Dental cover, Group Travel, Employee Assistance Programmes and Health Screening. Managing the day-to-day client relationships and servicing for a portfolio of clients in a prompt and proficient manner, keeping the client and your support appraised at all times. Ensuring that healthcare scheme renewal communications are issued to clients in a timely and accurate manner that is in line with team procedures. Provide assistance to your support and clients for all market reviews or switch of insurer. Building strong relationships with insurer/supplier contacts and sharing knowledge/experience with the team. Ensuring files are compliant and company systems are up to date for your client portfolio Policy, Process and Procedures: You follow process and best practice that is relevant to your role and compliant with business policy. Constructively you suggest process improvements to deliver workable solutions. In a collaborative way you challenge wider processes to enable and drive improvements to service whilst ensuring compliance. Customer Focus and Relationships: The exceptional customer experience that you provide will drive improved retention and enables the opportunity for cross and upselling of our business portfolio of solutions. You will work closely with the Divisional Director - International within their area of responsibility to ensure that the financial targets are achieved. You build strong internal, client and provider relationships based on respect that develops and builds loyalty, retention and increased client benefit spend. Market Knowledge & Technology You stay up to date and proactively seek to broaden your market knowledge and understanding of key trends. You understand the need for accurate client data in reports, systems including contacts, existing portfolios, markets and partners. You understand the scope and advantage of our technology platforms, to client’s business needs. You embrace Technology in order to deliver outstanding client solutions. You understand the wider services Howden employee benefits can provide and regularly make referrals into other areas of the business. You stay up to date and understand the various solutions, products and services offered by the insurers in the market. What do we need from you? Excellent knowledge and understanding of group Employee Benefits in particular International Private Medical Insurance. Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge and are able to use Excel to formulate spreadsheets as required. You can create a basic Word document with text and manipulate template reports. You understand the mechanics of claims rated IPMI policies and how to calculate figures and projections from claims data. You strive to be “the best you can be” to deliver high standards of work for the benefit of your clients. Your professionalism increases the positive aspect of customer-experience and underpins their loyalty. You take ownership of your portfolio and proactively manage the associated workload, flagging client risks and opportunities. You are conscientious, orderly and disciplined with good organisational and time management skills. You are motivated with a strong desire to learn about the corporate group healthcare industry. You have a good attention to detail. You are a team Player. You lead by example and act as a role model for Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing. Your positive attitude and analytical insight enable consultants to retain and close more business. Experienced in consulting on large corporate claims rated IPMI schemes. Demonstrable experience of working with an Employee Benefits Consultancy or with an Insurance Provider. Excellent customer service, negotiation and relationship development/management skills. CII IF7 qualified preferred and will ultimately be essential, but the business supports training towards this. What do we offer in return? A career that you define.
