Job Summary
- Advise on day-to -day compliance with FCA and other regulatory, and legislative requirements.
- Assist with compliance monitoring to assess the business’ adherence to regulatory standards and group requirements.
- Assist with all aspects of compliance monitoring, investigation, and resolution, including liaison with TPAs.
- To operate according to established controls that enable ERGO UK and clients to manage conduct risk, consumer duty requirements, treat customers fairly and keep the customers at the centre of ERGO’s and clients’ businesses.
- To demonstrate a high work ethic and possess core knowledge and skills to support strategic objectives
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the successful implementation and monitoring of a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan for each calendar year.
- Assist with identification, management, and reporting of breaches or near misses.
- Assist with annual review of compliance universe.
- Assist with compliance reporting to EUSL Board and the Group Board (ERGO Dusseldorf) regarding any significant changes to the regulatory or legal environment.
- Assist with annual review of polices and procedures to ensure they are up to date from a regulatory and business perspective.
- Assist with review of Annual Review Questionnaires (“ARQs”) received from ERGO’s agents and follow up as appropriate.
- Assist with Due Diligence of new business partners or product lines.
- Assist with Regulatory Reporting and data submission.
- Assist with ad hoc compliance operational tasks as required.
- Liaising and communicating with ERGO group colleagues as appropriate.
- Assist with other regulatory and legal matters as they arise.
- Assist with administration of the mandatory compliance training and training MI gathering and reporting.
Skills and Core Competencies
- At least 3 years’ work experience in a compliance function or within the general insurance sector.
- A sound understanding of the Managing General Agent model specifically in relation to compliance requirements.
- A working knowledge of FCA key rules such as PRIN, ICOBS, SYSC, PROD, DISP and SUP.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of current regulatory landscape and compliance practices.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to understand broad business issues.

Salary: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
