Job description
An opportunity has arisen within the psychology services at Ryegate Children's Centre a part of Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic clinical psychologists to join our busy team to provide a psychology service to children and families as well as advice and consultation to professional colleagues. We currently have a permanent 1 WTE (37.5hrs) Band 8a vacancy for a Senior Clinical Psychologist.
The 8a post holder will join an established multidisciplinary team providing assessments and interventions for children with neurodevelopmental difficulties. The remit of the role will vary according to service demand but a significant proportion of the post will involve completing autism assessments. Therefore extensive experience of assessment of children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders in particular will be required (preferably including post qualification training). As there will also be aspects of cognitive assessment, post-qualification experience/additional training in this area would also be advantageous. Good communication skills for written report writing and close working with other members of the multidisciplinary team will be essential. Whilst the current vacancy sits within the Sheffield Neurodisability Service at Ryegate, there may also be opportunities to take cases from the Neurology (regional) side of the service at Ryegate.
