South Beds provides a holistic Thrive model of care, with the Luton CAMH CAS offering the first two quadrants, Giving Advice and Getting Help, and where necessary, stepping up into our multi-disciplinary Getting More Help; and Risk Management/Support services (third and fourth quadrants).
This is a community-based post and will work within Luton Primary Care Access Service (PCAS). The post holder will be in a unique position to be part of this exciting new development within our innovative and forward-thinking CAMHS and Luton Family Hub.
This post is designed specifically to support the development of the ‘0-5’ Pathway and take a lead role in supporting the day-to-day operational management of the service offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessments and treatments, including group-work, work discussion groups, reflective practice groups, consultation and training.
The ‘0-5’ team is currently formed by an Operational Lead who is a Senior Psychiatric Nurse and a CBT Therapist; a Clinical Team Lead who is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist; an Early Years Practitioner; a Lead Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist; a Child Psychotherapist in Doctoral Training; Assistant Psychologist and Assistant Child Psychotherapist. The 0-5 Team has access to a range of specialisms across the different clinical pathways in South Beds. The team is based at Charter House, Alma Street, Luton, LU12PL.
The post-holder will require a high degree of professional autonomy, self-management and drive, with the ability to work well in a team and within the multi-agency environment with the aim of supporting the establishment of a ‘0-5 Team’ within Luton CAMHS.
The post holder will take the lead on developing and promoting close working relationships with partner agencies across the range of early years agencies, including perinatal and adult mental health, early help and social care, community pediatrics, and local non-statutory services.
