We are looking for a Senior Café Assistant who can work as part of a small team in our very busy Golf Café in Ashton Court Estate to provide visitors with a great experience. Working in our Parks Catering team you'll have the opportunity to make a difference to someone's day, every day and come to work in some of the City's most beautiful parks.
This is a full time (37 hours per week), permanent role working daytime shifts (between 8.30am – 5.30pm). Saturdays and Sundays are included in the working week.968
With eight cafes & kiosks across the City, we not only provide food and drink to the thousands of visitors to our parks every year but also generate income to help fund the cost of maintaining Bristol's parks and green spaces.
We are focussed on increasing the income from our Parks Catering service and improving the experience customers can expect when they visit our cafes and kiosks. This won't be possible without having a great team of people and without great people to lead and inspire them.
As a Senior Café Assistant, you will deliver exceptional customer service. Our Senior Café assistants need to be just as at home working in the kitchen as being front of house serving customers.
You will work alongside the Café Team leader to promote a respectful team environment, working to a high standard of service, quality and cleanliness.
To be successful you will need:
- Level 2 Food safety certificates or be willing to work towards them when you join us
- Excellent customer service skills
- A good understanding of Health & Safety at work
- Previous experience of working in a catering/cafe environment
- Good Barista skills
- Experience of operating an EPOS, till system
- The ability to work using your initiative and be comfortable with some Lone Worker shifts.
You'll be working various daytime shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. You will be based at Ashton Court Activity hub in the Golf Cafe for most of your time; however, you could be required to work at other locations across the city which includes Ashton Courtyard Café and Vaulted Chambers Café in Castle Park.
