Job Description:
Reporting to the Supply chain Manager (Spare Parts) you will be responsible for the creation of purchase orders for products to maintain the inventory levels set for the department and ensure costs and service levels to customers are maintained.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Manage a list of key/strategic suppliers Assist the Inventory Planner in Setting Inventory Levels across multiple sites Measure Supplier Delivery Performance & develop actions to improve. Oversee spares spend analysis and work with internal teams to identify cost down & resourcing opportunities. As a Super-User in our ERP system you will train TMs and develop process and system enhancements. Work with the commodity team to develop relationships with suppliers incl SLA Resolving invoice queries Cover for the Supply chain Manager in times of absence Develop & support initiatives to improve department KPI’s
Experience and Qualifications
Educated to a minimum of GCSE Standard or equivalent Experience of a Purchasing role gained within a busy office environment Good general IT & Microsoft skills especially Excel Ability to organise and prioritise workload using your own initiative to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Self-motivated and high energy You must also be able to demonstrate that you are a customer focused individual with the energy, drive and commitment to make it happen. Ability to work within a team Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities Action Orientated and results driven.
