Why this job matters
The Senior Business Development Manager drives new customer growth and go-to-market strategy by partnering directly with clients and executive leadership to realise and capitalise on opportunities. You’ll work with a team of 4 Account Directors and specific specialists across the 33 London Boroughs.
What you’ll be doing
- Champions the implementation and development of defined strategies driving the origination, qualification, and conversion of new opportunities for London Local Government across a portfolio of products and services.
- Builds and ensures the quality of partnership with leadership teams to develop and deliver new business through trust and value-led relationships with the key client stakeholders.
- Leads commercial strategies for clients including driving teams in carrying out analysis to identify potential value-creating opportunities, creating compelling business cases and developing requirements to drive successful strategies.
- Operates as an SME for London Local Government, identifying solutions to complex business problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organisational objectives.
- London Local Government success, experience, knowledge, and contacts.
- Flexible approach to attend Council Meetings outside of normal working hours.
What we'd like to see from you
- Successful business development experience.
- Proven experience of delivering business outcomes.
- Ideally, experience with local government, otherwise public sector experience.
