Purpose of Role:
The Senior Agricultural Strategist will perform fundamental analysis on Grains and Oilseeds markets and produce research reports to support the Grains and Oilseeds sales desk. Work with the sales desk to incorporate forward projections/trade ideas and meet with institutional clients.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain up to date balance sheets in corn, soybeans, wheat, and all subclasses of products.
- Produce estimates and insights around major global grain and oilseed market news and USDA reports.
- Collaborate with data and analytics to identify opportunities for hedging strategies and clients
- Collaborate with sales and other divisions to originate hedging solutions and structured transactions
- Keep up to date with market activity/news
- Collaborate with the respective business development, distribution and technology teams regarding product design and system development during new and existing initiatives
- Remain proficient on systems required for the role
- Act in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Act in accordance with the relevant regulations and codes of conduct
The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time
Skills & Experienced Required:
- Experience working in the Grains and Oilseeds product set market and related areas and managing Global Grains and Oilseeds balance sheets
- Knowledge of the underlying products at Marex Spectron within the G&O product set remit is preferred
- Experience working in a Registered/ Certified role under NFA (National Futures Association)
