About us
The Graduate Admissions team is responsible for all admissions to UCL’s graduate taught, research and affiliate programmes. It handles approximately 97,000 applications per cycle and is responsible for admitting approximately 18,500 students in each academic year. The Admissions function is critical in ensuring that UCL secures the desired number of students to meet UCL’s aspirations in terms of securing and maintaining a well-qualified, balanced student body and associated tuition fee income.
About the role
We are looking to recruit a Senior Admissions Officer to work in our central admissions team, which manages applications to postgraduate programmes across UCL. Duties will include: key aspects of graduate admissions administration; the management of a team of admissions staff; agreeing selection criteria with academic colleagues; assessing and making selection decisions on applications against agreed criteria; reviewing complex fee status cases; and preparing documentation to support applicants applying for a visa through the UK Visas & Immigration points based immigration system.
About you
The successful candidate will have experience of admissions in a higher education setting. The appointee will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. The nature of the work requires an individual with good interpersonal skills who are able to successfully work in a team. We are operating hybrid working and you will have the opportunity to work remotely for up to 4 days a week.
