Job description
Are you a Senior Acoustics Consultant looking for an exciting new challenge in London or Manchester? Vanguardia, a Buro Happold company, is looking for an Acoustics Consultant with experience in the sports and entertainment sector. This role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package plus a hybrid working pattern.
Our team is responsible for developing high-quality acoustic solutions for large-scale projects around globe. You will be responsible for the acoustic systems design on challenging projects, examples include Everton FC: Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, as well as major music events across the UK including the iconic Glastonbury Festival.
Key Duties:
Sound insulation design.
Acoustic surveys, benchmarking and commissioning.
Room acoustics design and reverberation control.
Venue, performance space and arena/stadium design.
Structural vibration isolation and dynamics.
Control of external noise break-in and façade & ventilation design.
Design and assessment of internal and external building services noise and vibration.
Sound system, public address and voice alarm design.
Your skills and Experiences:
Experience in job-leading large-scale projects in a timely manner and within budget.
A team player who loves to collaborate with fellow acousticians and other disciplines that make up Buro Happold’s multi-disciplinary offer.
A good understanding of room acoustic/sound system modelling software such as ODEON, EASE and CATT.
Strong team player capability, with the potential to line manage more junior team members.
Understanding of relevant policy and regulation.
Understanding of architectural studies such as sightlines, structural support, space planning, cableways, power and cooling.
A strong understanding of BIM including experience in Revit.
