The Outbrain finance team is responsible for the financial management of Outbrain across 8 countries (US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Netherlands). The Senior AP Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the maintenance and integrity of certain account ledgers with a heavy focus on the Accounts Payable function. This role will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and represents a great opportunity to gain experience in many aspects of a finance department in a rapidly growing digital organisation.

A day in the life
- Manage invoice mailboxes on a daily basis
- Coding AP invoices and posting into Netsuite for some EU entities
- Process PO backed and csv upload invoices for Publishers via Netsuite and Non-Publishers via COUPA
- Maintain a high level of Customer Service with internal and external stakeholders on resolving queries with regards to statements and overdue invoices
- Weekly review and follow up on unapproved invoices and unreceipted PO’s in COUPA
- Managing unpaid invoices and organising bills due to be paid
- Reviewing of accounts payable aging in Netsuite and COUPA
- Preparing weekly payment runs in multiple currencies through COUPA Pay and Tipalti
- Review and Approve Concur expenses and Amex transactions inline with the expenses Policy
- Understanding of UK/EU countries VAT, and US W9 & 1099 procedures.
- Preparation of monthly accruals to assist with the local accountants reporting
- Assisting with the year end audit
- Assisting in testing of system upgrades and automation projects
- Handling other ad hoc tasks within finance when required
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 3 years of relevant AP experience
- Experience working with Netsuite, COUPA and Tipalti, or another accounting system
- Basic accounting knowledge of prepayments/accruals/fixed assets
- Forensic attention to detail
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills
- Effective communication skills
- Proactive attitude – ability to take initiative to get things done
- Be motivated with an eye for process improvement
