A Senior Account Manager (SAM) plays an essential role in the Account Management team, providing key clients with expert knowledge of the affiliate channel and tailored, strategic growth plans, aligned to program KPIs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
A Senior Account Manager (SAM) plays an essential role in the Account Management team, providing key clients with expert knowledge of the affiliate channel and tailored, strategic growth plans, aligned to program KPIs. SAMs are also often responsible for 2-3 more junior members of the team including portfolio coordination and supervision, undertaking performance reviews and guiding personal development. Additionally, a SAM must be confident representing Webgains at wider industry events, keeping abreast of the competitive landscape and following industry trends, including emerging publisher opportunities, new 3rd party solutions and affinity partnerships.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Demonstrate strong decision making in line with company goals, social, and environmental best practice
· Manage a few key UK accounts and administer day-to-day processes including: ·
o Month-end client account reconciliations and finance liaison
o Program benchmarking and competitor analysis
o Develop program activity plans and revenue forecasts
o Program monitoring (tracking, growth trends) and troubleshooting
o Presenting new affiliate opportunities to relevant Webgains clients
· Develop strategic and effective plans to achieve monthly growth targets on existing programs, with tailored, multi-layered solutions for increasing affiliate performance.
· Be knowledgeable on aspects of publisher programs that can be directly influenced, e.g. user growth, click optimisation, return on investment and revenue targets.
· Successfully articulate publisher marketing concepts, program status and issues to a diverse audience; including the wider Account Management team and Sales.
· Be a confident and effective influencer at a senior level, both internally at Webgains and with existing and prospective clients.
· Be considered an expert by peers in at least two to three verticals (fashion, travel, finance etc.).
· Represent Webgains at relevant industry events
· Be confident to act with some level of autonomy to grow the UK network, both via growing existing advertiser programs and via growing publisher relationships
· Play an active role in the development of objectives and KPIs for the account management team and be committed to their success.
· Support progression and development of more junior team members by identifying strengths and weaknesses and tailoring personal KPIs, as well as looking out for wellbeing and workplace satisfaction
· Manage 4-5 junior team members, one of which is likely to not be based in the UK

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum 2+ years’ experience at Account Manager level
· Demonstrable experience of driving client growth
· Experience of introducing sophisticated, multi-layered and tailored solutions to clients
· An expert at analysing complex data sets from a wide variety of sources and drawing user and market actionable insights
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
· Experience of the US affiliate landscape would be highly desirable, and can be client side, agency side, network side, or publisher side

Salary: £34,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
