Roll: 303
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and innovative teacher to join our energetic team at Casterton Primary Academy, part of Pendle Education Trust (PET). Casterton had our first Ofsted Inspection, graded as GOOD, as part of the PET in October 2022 and we welcome ambitious applicants to join our caring and successful team. Visits to the school are encouraged.
The successful candidate will join our Senior Leadership Team and lead SEND throughout the school. The post will include a 0.5 teaching commitment in their own class. The successful candidate will teach in the afternoons only and share the class with an experienced teacher, who will teach each morning.
We value the important role that a SENDCO completes in school and will ensure that the time and resources are provided so they can complete their role to a high standard.
Pendle Education Trust (PET) has a strong Primary SEND team, which is led by the Director of Inclusion. This means you would become part of a supportive team who are passionate about meeting the needs of our pupils and work together to achieve this. Our Trust team includes a qualified speech therapist, specialist teachers and two other SENDCos. We work closely with outside agencies and parents.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic practitioner who promotes and upholds the same high expectations as PET and may have a strength and passion in other curriculum areas. With a focus on sharing good practice, they will be committed to their own continuous professional development in order to continuously improve outcomes for the wonderful children at Casterton.
Pendle Education Trust is sponsored by Nelson and Colne College, an outstanding local education provider; this is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and determined teacher to join an establishment where they can have a real impact on pupil aspirations and success.
The Trust offers unparalleled staff benefits, including fantastic professional development opportunities. Championing success and building pupil confidence, the post offers a genuine opportunity for someone with enthusiasm to inspire children and make a real difference.
Please note: All of our positions are subject to an enhanced DBS check. If there’s any reason why this may preclude you from being considered, please contact the Pendle Education Trust team.
Please note CVs are not accepted. If you're interested and would like to submit an application, please complete our online application form via our website PET Careers - Pendle Education Trust Careers.
Visits are encouraged. Please contact the school to arrange a suitable time.
