Self Employed Fibre Operatives - Telecoms London, England
Job description
We are looking for experienced, self-employed PIA gangs, fibre blowing teams and overhead fibre operatives to join our team. The ideal candidates will have their own vans and equipment and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
PIA Gangs
- Installing and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure, such as Test Rod and Ropping, Subduct pulling and fibre optic cables installation
- Troubleshooting and repairing telecommunications networks
Fibre Blowing and OH Teams
- Blowing fibre optic cables through underground ducts and overhead lines
- Terminating fibre optic cables
- Testing and troubleshooting fibre optic networks
- Maintaining and repairing fibre optic networks
Qualifications:
- Experience in telecommunications infrastructure installation and maintenance
- Experience in fibre blowing and overhead fibre operations
- Streetworks Ticket (Essential)
- SA002 Safety Underground (Essential)
-SA001 Overhead Safety (Desirable)-
- Strong understanding of fibre optic technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and own van and equipment
