Avande Connect are a London based electrical, audio visual installation and Integration Company and are searching for a highly motivated individual as Head of Operations in the high-end residential MDU Smart home system sector.
The right candidate will be responsible for overseeing all the operations of the SELECT section of the business. Making sure projects are delivered to the highest standard, on time and on budget. This role is perfect for a skilled operations manager that has a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
The role will require proven experience with electrical and smart home systems such as Lighting Control, HVAC, BMS, Security, Audio Visual and Home Cinema.
The right candidate must have a track record of working on high end residential projects particularly in the Multi dwelling unit sector and delivering the above systems. You will also be comfortable being client facing.

The candidate must be London based and have a driving licence. Work will mostly be in London and the surrounding counties although projects may be further afield from time to time.
The role will be managing the SELECT side of the business, SELECT is a unique offering to the multi dwelling unit sector, the role will involve managing the design, commercial and delivery teams within Avande and also the associated teams to the projects. SELECT is currently being adopted by 1000s of apartments so the role will involve dealing with multiple teams and projects. The right candidate must have a high level of experience managing operations for a business across multiple teams and projects, the candidate must be able to clearly explain and deliver smart home electrical, audiovisual and security packages. A main duty of the role will be managing sub contracting electrical companies so electrical knowledge is needed, the successful candidate must have proven experience of managing multiple project managers and project teams.

1 Leading all the operational project managers and engineers
2 Making sure the engineers and PMs are trained and able to deliver the systems
3 Taking the projects from design to delivery
4 Making sure all projects are delivered on time and on budget
5 Capturing all variation on projects and reporting this to the commercial team on a weekly basis
6 Making sure the health and safety of the projects are to standard
7 Recording and documenting all works onsite
8 Making sure all materials and equipment is procured and ready for installation

10 Keeping all drawings and documentation up to date
11 Liaising between the design and commercial departments

15 Keeping all clients uptodate on the project status, costs and delivery

19 Making sure all the operational team are using Joblogic and company records correctly 20 Reviewing all SELECT portal packages alongside the design team
21 Making sure all SELECT projects are on the radar and keeping uptodate with all project works
22 Having regular meetings with all departments related to the projects
23 Inspiring the project teams to deliver to the highest possible standards
24 Constantly thinking of innovative ways for the operational side of the business to deliver to the highest possible standards
25 Assisting Avande to become the largest provider of smarthomes in the UK
26 Liaising with the office manager making sure all deliveries and orders are raised correctly and associated to the correct project
27 Making sure stock levels are correct
28 Creating technical survey documents to make sure all new projects are onboarded and surveyed correctly
29 Making sure all project Managers and engineers are working to the contracted hours 30 Snagging all projects and creating clear project documentation to enable to project managers and engineers to efficiently handover projects
31 Updating all tasks for themselves and associated tasks for others on Monday.com
32 Responsible for all project Health and Safety
33 Making sure all engineers and Project Managers are suitably trained in both systems and construction Health and Safety
34 Creating a product portfolio list alongside head of design / technical design manager
35 Continually learning about the company’s products
36 Developing, improving and implementing operations and production plans to meet company goals
37 Managing the day-to-day operations of every department, establishing company policies, implementing necessary changes and adhering to compliance procedures, laws and regulations
38 Providing all necessary reports, assisting management in goal setting and promoting company growth and anticipating and forecasting trends and patterns of the company and marketplace
39 Managing finances, developing, monitoring and analysing the departmental and company budgets and financial reports
40 Allocating the company’s resources, materials and equipment to the most productive functions, supply chain and delivery management
41 Creating operation strategies to minimise stock losses, implementing initiatives to reduce company costs and increasing employee productivity
42 Create a structure for login details and passwords
43 Researching products, making sure the team is technically able to deliver
44 Creating a maintenance and afterservice pricing and delivery structure
45 Making sure that no clients emails are left without reply at the end of a working day
46 Lead the handover process from sales to design and from design to operations, making comments to all designs before it is issued to site
47 Quality control - creating QA sheets for all system handovers, and stage sign off (1st fix, 2nd fix, commission, handover)
48 Creating detailed project reports including photos and descriptions, this includes snagging and checking sites throughout the project duration
49 Assisting the design team with O&M manuals and documentation
50 Raising, tracking and documenting RFIs
51 Responsible for resourcing the project with the correct amount of labour and the right skill set of said labour
52 Creating and giving weekly toolbox talks
53 Documenting all plant and company tools used onsite
54 Ensuring all works are within regulations
55 Making sure all sites are safe and the correct RAMS, checks and procedures have been undertaken to ensure the staff go home safe everyday
56 Make sure all managers are first aid trained
57 Managers must hold the correct CSCS card, be either SMSTS trained or SSSTS
58 Assign the projects to the Project Managers
59 Checking all POs against project quotes and tenders
60 Identify and record potential future opportunities
