Job description

We are seeking experienced, hard working and reliable drivers to be part of our furniture delivery company. Your role will involve carrying out furniture delivery and installations outside London including Coventry, Northampton, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire. Heavy lifting is required. You will be required to be flexible with your working hours as your average start time can be between 6:30 and 7am to meet your drivers mate and then make your way to the distribution centre where your work will commence. You will have an average of 6 - 8 deliveries / collections per day. You will work as a professional team member ensuring you show excellent communication skills, taking every regard for the company vehicle, its contents and giving total customer satisfaction on each job.

- You must be physically strong, fit and healthy as heavy lifting will be required in and out of houses

- Relevant experience in this field is essential as you will be required to handle customers belongings with care

- You will need to be able to work using your own initiative

- You will need to be a good team member

- You will need to have a Clean Full UK Drivers licence or a maximum of 6 points

- You will need experience of driving a 3.5t van (ideally a Luton or Low Loader van)

- It will be a bonus if you have a basic understanding of furniture installation such as sofas and chairs (Training will be provided)

- You will need to live locally in or around the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire area and ideally have experience of long distance driving as this will be required. If you have a car this will be a bonus

- It will be a bonus if you have a basic understanding of loading a van

- You will need to have been driving for a minimum of 2 years

We are offering a minimum of £1,500 each month up to £2,200 which is dependent on shifts. Weekday working only - No weekends required unless you decide to.

We are looking for staff that are responsible, trustworthy, have good time keeping, a friendly character, fluent English speakers, good customer service skills and hard workers. You will need to have a fully working, charged phone throughout the day as our managers may need to contact you for regular updates. This will be an ongoing position for long term work if you are the right candidate for the role.
