Shift Pattern: 5 on 2 of, 4 on 3 off days and nights 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00
The Security Team Leader is responsible for aiding the Security Manager in controlling the Out of Hours operational requirements of the contract in line with the customer and contractual expectations.
You will act as the initial management contact for all security personnel. Ensuring service delivery and prompt response to all incidents.
It is the role and responsibility of the Security Team Leader to:
- Report directly to the Head of Security.
- Be fully conversant and comply with the Assignment Instructions and Health & Safety Risk assessments/toolbox talks.
- Be fully conversant with and comply with all other procedures as detailed in these Assignment Instructions.
- Ensure Daily Occurrence Log (DOL) is accurately maintained during full duration of the shift along with the rotation that is set for the shift by Security Manager.
- Ensure all personnel that work in SCR are adequately trained on systems in use.
- Operate and monitor all SCR systems, including emails, control room post box, completed all card requests and occupancy reports for the following day.
- Report any system issues to the Security Manager.
- Ensure SCR is kept tidy.
- Carry out special administrational tasks/projects as issued by the Security Manager or Building Management Team
- Be familiar with the Fire Control Centre (SCR) activities & add isolations in place when needed
- Ensure all staff know and understand the fire evacuation policies and procedures, also managing updates on training needs to all staff.
- Ensure the control room manual is kept up to date.
- Ensure that the Schindler PC is monitored always, and appropriate actions taken when there is a fault
- Ensure that the CCURE access control system is monitored always, and appropriate actions taken when there is a fault
- Carry out daily verification checks to ensure all control room systems are fully operational and where they are not, initiate corrective action through Security Manager.
- To be conversant with all life safety systems and assist in responding to all emergencies promptly as illustrated in the Assignment Instructions.
- Send Initial incident communication messages as and when needed, ensuring the message is professional and informative.
- Pass any telephone enquiries or message to the relevant people or department.
- Physically check SIA licences & Bidvest Noonan IDs of all oncoming team members.
- Conduct post checks to all Security positions at regular intervals throughout the shift.
- Report any issues or incidents to the Security Manager.
- Manage the OOH Shift operations of all shift staff reporting to them.
- Assist the Security Manager in ensuring manning is always at required levels, with regular shift patterns worked by trained and qualified staff.
- Help raise the profile of security and fire prevention ensuring that customers are well informed always of procedures and processes.
- Ensure that all incidents are managed and responded to in accordance with policies and procedures as appropriate to the rank of Out of Hours Team Leader at Twenty Old Bailey
- Ensure that all incidents are managed as directed by the Security Manager and in accordance with policy and procedures, all reports to be saved on the shared drive
- Display SIA licence always whilst on duty.
- Make enquiries and submit incidents as instructed by Security Manager.
- Complete all compliance checks, sending reports to the relevant parties as requested.
- Be aware of policies and procedures owned and changed from time to time by Bidvest Noonan
- Ensure that all reasons for absenteeism are recorded and forwarded onto the Security Manager
