Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 0700 - 1700
The Security Manager is to manage the day to day operational requirements of the contract in line with Twenty Old Bailey’s contractual expectations. This is done by leading and managing the site security teams as well as taking ownership for all aspects of the building out of hours, responding to any given incident promptly and communicating all such measures as appropriate to Twenty Old Bailey Management team. The Security Manager is the direct contact between the client and the security team.
It is the role and responsibility of the Security Manager to:
Operationally:
- Report directly to the Account Director.
- Take ownership of building and building related incidents, direct the Security Team and other service partners, as appropriate, to ensure response, escalation and management is in accordance with policy and procedures.
- To provide first line respondent to all incidents/occurrences on site and provide effective support to the client’s Incident Management representative.
- Work in partnership with service partners and customers’ representatives, ensuring all aspects of the site requirements are effectively managed.
- Be a key customer contact for all daily operational security & Health and Safety related matters across the contract and manage these in accordance with site procedures.
- Be responsible for the professional conduct & development of his/her security supervisor & his/her team of security officers.
- Work in partnership with service partners and customers’ representatives, ensuring all aspects of site Security and Fire Prevention requirements are effectively managed.
- Ensure staffing is always at required levels, with regular shift patterns worked by trained and qualified staff.
- Ensure, with support via Supervisory staff, that all staff work in safe conditions, acting upon all reports of accidents and faults and that staff carry out their duties in accordance with procedures and policies.
- To manage on a day to day basis the CCTV system, Fire and Security systems installed, ensuring that all staff are fully trained and competent in their roles and carrying out their required duties.
- Ensure that all equipment is managed, used, monitored and reported defective in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all incidents are managed and responded to in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Complete any reasonable request issued by senior management or the client.
- Establish and manage a smart security team, motivated, well informed, focused and clear about its role and objectives.
- Ensure all employees carry out their duties in accordance with the procedures and policies and subject to regular effective performance monitoring.
- Take ownership for the effective control of Risk Assessments.
Administratively:
- To take the lead role regarding the other service partner teams on site and to chair the daily/weekly/monthly operational overview meetings, ensuring all such meetings are recorded and information disseminated as soon as practicable to do so.
- Report & liaise daily with the Account Director and the client representative to ensure effective communication of all matters pertaining to the effective management of a high standard and professional service.
- Conduct investigations relating to disciplinary issues.
- Ensure compliance with SLA requirements, minimising associated risks to the company and to the Client.
- Ensure appropriate training (derived from both internal & external courses) is delivered to `individual’ staff in accordance with their rank/responsibilities. All training & development needs to be recorded in the training matrix
- Ensure all employees carry out their duties in accordance with the procedures and policies and subject to regular effective performance monitoring.
- Take full responsibility for the effective & meaningful assessments in respect of his/her supervisors & team personnel.
- Ensure that all staff grievances are dealt with according to company procedures and maintain fair and consistent disciplinary procedures up to level of verbal warnings.
- Play a proactive part in the control of staff turnover.
- Effectively manage and reduce absence.
- Provide accurate and timely information for the preparation of reports and planning.
- Ensure all extra cover is accurately monitored and recorded.
- Ensure provision of adequate information for proper personnel administration of employees.
- Ensure that payroll errors are dealt with promptly, causes identified and remedial action taken.
- Ensure compliance with legal, company and contractual obligations.
- Provide accurate timesheets, ensuring they are kept up to date.
- Make themselves operationally aware of the roles and responsibilities of the Security Manager.
- Maintenance, control and operation of all mechanical locking systems.
- Deal directly with the client contact in relation to invoices and purchase orders.
- Take full responsibility for the site security budget (training, uniform, software etc.)

Salary: Up to £48,000.00 per year
