Security Officer
£12.16 per hour
42hrs a week
4 on 4 off, alternate Days (07:00 – 19:00) & Nights (19:00 – 07:00)
22.4 days leave per year, with the option of accruing additional days leave from overtime worked (up to a maximum of 28 days).
Company Vetting and FCDO Security Clearance:
Following confirmation of your company vetting, you would then be required to apply for Security Clearance, which will enable you to work on the FCDO Estate.
The current clearance level required for the FCDO Estate is SC (Security Cleared).
The process of obtaining both the company vetting and FCDO clearance can take up to 2-4 months, but each application is dependent on information turn around.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing an efficient and effective Security Service for our client, ensuring high standards are delivered and maintained.
- Superior Attention to Detail.
- Access and egress duties.
- Undertaking regular patrols, regular check calls, maintaining logs and passive CCTV monitoring.
- Effective monitoring of visitors and employees on-site and assisting to maintain high levels of site security.
- Understanding of and adherence to Health and Safety regulations with responsibility for the Health & Safety welfare of colleagues alongside their own.
- Logging details of incoming visitors.
- Vehicle search.
- Booking vehicles and deliveries in to King Charles Street.
- Bag/Luggage/Delivery Scanning for all External Visitors/Deliveries.
- Internal Fire & Flood Checks.
- External Patrols.
About You:
- SIA Door Supervisor License is essential.
- Our preference is for candidates with experience in undertaking a Security Officer role in a similarly high-profile site.
- A First Aid Certificate is highly desirable. Candidates who do not have accredited First Aid training may be required to complete a First Aid course which will be provided.
- Flexibility to work across shift patterns which would include days, night shifts and weekend work.
- Exceptional levels of integrity and professionalism.
- Basic IT and Microsoft Office skills essential (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- To be successfully appointed for this role you will need to undertake and pass an SC security check.
- Security Officers are the first point of contact between the Client and Visitors. It is important that the Officer should be courteous, helpful, fair, and firm.
- Presentation and bearing are of paramount importance.
