The Microsoft Security Response Center team (MSRC) is looking for security researchers to join us in protecting Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) systems from threats to security and privacy. MSRC is part of the defender community and on the front line of security response evolution. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. #MSRC #MSFTSecurity Responsibilities Response: The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and assessing reported vulnerabilities in deployed AI/ML systems, including: Reproducing reported vulnerabilities, identifying the root cause, and assessing their severity; Working with product teams to comprehensively remediate vulnerabilities; Identifying new research opportunities based on vulnerability trends; Research: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to research in the field of security and privacy for AI/ML, including: Investigating new security and privacy vulnerabilities in AI/ML systems; Designing scalable mitigations for threats to AI/ML systems; The successful candidate will collaborate with security researchers and product groups across Microsoft to identify emerging threats to AI/ML systems, and to design, implement, evaluate, and deploy mitigations for these threats. Qualifications Required: Background in security vulnerability response/research; Knowledge or experience with AI/ML (e.g., relevant courses and/or practical implementation experience); Software development skills and experience; Creative and collaborative approach to problem-solving; Preferred: Graduate level courses in AI/ML or equivalent experience; Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
