Overall Aim of the Role:
We are looking for an experienced live in Security Officer to join our Private Estate, Health Spa and Hotel security team. As a Security Officer, you will undertake surveillance patrols of our premises and assist in the protection of our staff, contractors and visitors.
In addition, you will be responsible for detecting and responding to any suspicious activity, the prevention of vandalism, theft, trespass or any other criminal behaviour. You will work 4 days on, 12 hours shifts, 4 days off (your rota will be arranged with the Security Manager).
What you’ll do:
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Inspect and patrol premises regularly, via irregular foot patrols and security camera monitoring
- Monitor the main estate/Hotel/Spa locations, gates and surrounding boundaries
- Investigate and report any suspicious behaviours and activity
- Ensure all buildings, entrances, doors and windows are secure at end of day
- Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
- Aid the Security Manager / Duty Hotel / Spa Manager or anyone requiring it
- Submit daily reports of surveillance activities including that of a suspicious nature to the Security Manager
Who you’ll be:
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- 5 years’ experience as a Security Guard or similar military role
- Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety, or the ability to learn those guidelines
- Experience of report writing
- Good level of written and spoken English language
- Outstanding surveillance and observation skills
- 5 years’ experience of using high tech surveillance systems
- Trained in First Aid at work, including Defib
- Hold a valid Front line Door Super Visor or CP SIA licence
- Full Driving Licence
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Vital is great interpersonal and communication skills
