Job description
We are currently looking to hire a new Security Officer to join our team.
The position is based at one of our large sites in Dover, Kent.
This is a FLEXI contract to cover annual leave and sickness.
12 hour shifts of either 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am.
Work will be allocated as required over 7 days of the week.
- Applicants MUST hold a full valid SIA Licence for this role.

- Are able to deal with difficult clients in an effective and professional way.
- Are friendly, polite and well-presented at all times in uniform
- Are reliable
- Are flexible in your approach to work.
- Able to multi-task and work effectively under pressure on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Effective communicator through relevant media.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Have a good level of English
- Customer Service experience
- Previous experience as a security guard or concierge.
The Role:
Duties are varied. Security Concierge may be asked to do any of the following:
- Be the first point of contact for all visitors/staff when they arrive at the offices:
- answer queries, give directions and ensure every client is supported during their visit
- Greet clients, staff and visitors when visiting the premises
- Ensure all ID badges are on show and correct
- Let clients and visitors into the building after enquiring about their visit
- Signpost and assist clients and visitors to Reception as required
- Be vigilant, ensuring the office is safe and secure for staff during working hours
- Deliver exceptional client service at all times
- Maintain security at main door during the day
- Sign in and out all staff as they arrive and depart the office for fire safety regulations
- Receive and direct deliveries
- Be the main key-holder
- Greet and sign-in contractors
- Build professional relationships with clients by being friendly and effective in your role
- Perform access control for the facility/area
- Providing outstanding, personalised service to members of the public and building tenants.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones
- Ensure that the Facilities Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed in response to Fire Alarms and other Site Emergencies
- Follow Post Orders for each site posted
- Demonstrate judgement, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
- Meticulous Record Keeping, Report Writing, Observation skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in CCTV recordings and monitoring
