Overview:We are currently recruiting, on behalf of a top security company in the West Midlands area, for SIA licenced Security Officers to work at various locations such as festivals, boxing matches, football, rugby, performance venues and many more. Experience is preferred but not essential. The overall purpose of the role is to support the coordination and security of events, ensuring they are a secure and safe place for all and run smoothly.Duties and responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)Providing a personable and reassuring presence to visitors/guestsPatrolling assigned areas and maintaining a visible presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actionsSecurity screening: bag searches and behavioral detectionDealing with anti social behaviour in a calm and professional mannerEnforcing access control procedures and verify identification of individuals entering the premisesOverseeing crowd control ; managing who enters and leaves venue/eventMonitoring CCTV and reporting any suspicious activities or incidentsCooperating with venue management and emergency services when necessaryRequirements:SIA Licence (SG/DS/CP*) (Essential)Previous experience in the security industry is preferred but not essentialRight to work in the UKDriving licence and own vehicle (desirable)Ability to pass DBS checkFurther training is provided along with interview prep, work experience and guaranteed interviews(Mandatory)ReliabilityPunctualityComfortable being on TV (some sporting events)Final interview is dependent on candidates successful completion of all mandatory training*SG/DS: £12.00 - £15.00 per hour CP: £20.00 - £35.00 per hour*If you are looking for a fantastic opportunity to train, develop your skills and gain or get back into employment in the security industry, we would love to hear from you.
