Job Introduction

We are currently seeking a Security Officer to join our wonderful Bellshill site, to deliver a high standard for all security processes, supporting team efficiency to deliver a 24-hour professional security operation, achieving team objectives and ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety standards to support the site and business requirements.

Main Responsibility

  • To deliver a high standard of all security procedures, ensuring all requirements on assignment instructions are met, and all persons that enter the site are treated in a professional manner.
  • Ensure all tasks carried out within the Security function are compliant with Health & Safety, Environmental and Customs & Excise legislation in order to maintain compliance with all regulatory bodies.
  • To assist in the maintenance of records and support the issuing of staff ID photo-cards and access tokens/swipe-card access system.
  • To operate and monitor CCTV systems while on duty in accordance with all GDPR requirements and in line with current WG&S procedures.
  • To respond and investigate all alarm conditions or emergency/incident situations and or urgent calls for assistance within the site and ensure that all incidents are correctly documented and reported to the appropriate leaders.
  • Direct responsibility of 3rd party security team. Lead in ensuring site orders and KPI’s are met. Managing rota planning and leave requests
  • Assist in the training of new security personnel and contribute appropriately to team meetings, supporting the implementation of team strategy, plans and continuous improvement projects.
  • To carry out searches of persons and vehicles when required in accordance with current procedures. Control of persons and vehicles through swipe when entering and exiting site.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Work experience in the same or similar role, preferably within a similar environment, other similar orientated industry, law enforcement or the military. Minimum 5-year experience.
  • Holds a valid SIA Licence.
  • ROSPA, First Aid & Fire Safety trained.
  • Good Team Player
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the company
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Natural problem solver with a can-do approach
