Job Overview
The Security Officer plays a critical part in successfully delivering ISS’s vision to our client. The role requires an adaptive, flexible, ‘can-do’ approach in the way it interacts with, and delivers across, the security function. The role is responsible for delivering a customer-facing service across many aspects of EY’s daily operations with the aim of achieving a curated experience for our client. The officer will be required to carry out and complete various routine tasks as well as those allocated by Duty Shift Managers, Building Security Manager and Account Management.
Job Description
Key Operational Responsibilities:
· Physical Security, protection of people, clients, assets and buildings.
· Fire, Life & Safety.
· You must comply with the standard of dress code as outlined by ISS.
· Provide operational support and follow all reasonable requests as directed by Management.
· Assist in maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.
· Clear knowledge and understanding of and to be fully compliant with the Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and SOP’s.
· Clear knowledge and understanding of individual roles and responsibilities in relation to Incident Response & Escalation.
· Ensure compliance and to be fully conversant with EY Visitors/Staff entry and egress procedures.
· Protection of EY’s UK estate, staff, suppliers and visitors from theft, vandalism, violence and damage or other harm.
· Patrolling the EY’s UK estate as required (internally and externally) to prevent hostile reconnaissance fire, flood, theft and damage or any unusual circumstances.
· Dealing promptly and professionally with any emergencies, suspicious incidents, events or circumstances.
· Performing Reception cover as duties require (out of hours) with capability of providing support to the Front of House (FOH) team during the day.
· Issuing visitor, temporary and/or contractor passes as and when required.
· Providing escorts as and when directed.
· Be fully conversant with the EY’s incident management procedures and local processes specific to your location.
· Report any buildings issues or system faults to the helpdesk as outlined within the AI’s and SOP’s.
· Ensuring that any complaints are escalated to Management in a timely manner.
· Ensuring that all equipment provided to assist security is fully operational with any issues reported.
· Create and provide good quality incident reports either in handwritten or electronic format.
· Support client functions such as annual AGM’s if tasked.
· Other day-to-day responsibilities as dictated by circumstances and the needs of the business and the client.
Personal Specifications
Qualifications
· SIA Security Frontline Guarding Licence (some officers will require to be door supervisor qualified)
· First-Aid at work
Experience
· Previous experience of working within a prestigious corporate environment.
· 3-5 years’ previous security experience.
Skills
· Client focused with a good understanding of expectations within the financial services environment.
· PC literate with a basic to intermediate understanding of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Excellent Customer Service skills – the curated experience.
· Good communication and presentation skills
· Self-disciplined with a flexible approach to issues and situations
· Ability to work under own initiative in a sometimes pressurised environment
· The ability to multitask and operate within a large and diverse organisation.
