Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to work within a retail and leisure complex, based in Portsmouth PO1 area. Working a full time position with additional overtime and holiday cover. This consists of days, nights, and weekends.
As a Security Officer, you will be working as part of a team of security professionals in a Premium retail outlet, ensuring that all aspects of security are delivered and are carried out to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
· Provide a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and occupiers.
· Offer and promote the best customer services at all times
· Assist and monitor the security team to respond to incidents.
· Assist with all emergency procedures
· Conduct regular patrols.
· Ensure when conducting building patrols that Health and Safety is adhered to at all times.
· Loss prevention
· Dealing with traffic management
· Dealing with a night-time economy
· Prevent and detect fire, water leaks, and any potential safety hazards.
Knowledge skills & experience
· Good communication (both written and oral) and customer service skills.
· Experience in working within a team as well as on your own.
· A valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor/Security Guarding)
· CCTV Licence is desirable but not essential to apply for this position.
· Demonstrate a proactive and a professional approach to security.
· Ability to operate in a pressurised environment.
· Attention to detail, proactive and excellent time management.
· Knowledge of first aid is desirable but not essential (training will be provided)
· Have a 5-year checkable employment history
