Role Responsibility:
SECURITY OFFICER
Salary: £32,240 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full-Time, 42 Hours per week
Location: Cheltenham
Annual retention bonus of £2,000 (pro-rata), plus a holiday allowance of 33 days holiday per year, including Bank Holidays, plus 2.5 Privilege days per year.

We are looking to grow our existing Security team at this prestigious site in Cheltenham, and have a vacancy for a Security Officer, working 40hrs per week.
As a Security Officer on this contract, you will be more than a Security Guard. You will be a part of the G4S Facilities Management team providing a full and comprehensive delivery of services to our high-profile client. The ideal candidate will be a self starter with a positive mindset. You will need to be organised, proactive and resourceful, with an ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively and work within a team.
These roles require individuals to be able to undertake a rotating shift pattern, working 2 days, 2 nights 4 off, 12 hour shifts, 06:00 - 18:00, 18:00 - 06:00 (average of 42 hours per week),
On commencement of employment there is also a 2.5% of annual salary ‘Golden Hello’.
Your main responsibilities will include:
To patrol the interior and exterior of buildings/offices and perimeter.
To control access to site and designated buildings.
To detect, and if possible prevent, forcible or clandestine entry to sites/buildings by those without authority and deter and detect vandalism.
To carry out searches on visitors and contractors vehicles before entry to site.
To conduct search and screen procedures on visitors to the site.
To carry out random access/exit searches of members of staff entering or leaving buildings.
To carry out random staff vehicle entry and exit searches.
To monitor activity on site and in the immediate vicinity of the site.
To act as first point of contact for any emergency and co-ordinate emergency response where necessary.
To operate the switchboard out of hours.
To where necessary deal with suspect postal packages and suspicious objects in accordance with agreed procedures.
To monitor the effectiveness of the end of day security measures in workspaces.
To carry out monitoring of the alarm systems as required.
