This is a full-time position (40 hours a week) working Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm with a one hour unpaid lunch break.
What does the role involve?
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for actively promoting H&S across the organization, assisting with advising the Senior Management team on the implications of current and emerging legislation and maintaining the company's ISO 45001 standard.
Other responsibilities of the role include:
- Report compliance with Health and Safety systems which meet specific requirements, such as accident reporting, near miss reporting, risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
- Monitor compliance with the company Health and Safety policies and procedures on a day to day basis, undertaking safety walks and advising managers on areas of non-compliance for action.
- Perform internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems and procedures, identify and be part of implementing improvements.
About You... (What are we looking for?)
To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of three years' experience in a Health and Safety role, hold a relevant professional qualification (such as a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent), have excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. If you've worked in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment before, even better!

We are located on the Eurolink Business Park in Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 3FP.
