EQUANS are recruiting for a Security Officer to be based at two sites; Queen Elizabeth Hospital & The Zinnia Centre, both located in Birmingham.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,100 and benefits package.
The role will be based on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern consisting of 2 days working 0800 – 2000hrs at the Zinnia Centre and 2 nights working 2000 – 0800hrs at the QEHB, then 4 days off and repeat.

Security staff provide a vital role in ensuring that hospitals are welcoming and accessible but also safe environments for patients, visitors and staff. To provide a security visual deterrent, patrolling internal/external with a rapid response service to emergency, urgent and routine classifications.

What will you deliver?
Adherence to all Service Level Agreements as introduced by the business. This involves responding to incidents in set SLA time periods in a fast paced physically demanding position.
Carry out necessary security tasks, both planned and reactive and any other sites assigned by the Security Duty Manager.
Ensure that all procedural security requirements are met, if not exceeded, regarding the client’s assets and occupants on site.
Ensuring that H&S demands are observed and complied with at all times.
To operate the CCTV system if need be and report any faults in the prescribed format (procedural).
To maintain a high profile presence of the function at all times with regard to the client, visitors and contractors.

Who are we looking for?

SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence
Evidence of at least 12 months Security Officer experience
Customer Service Focused with excellent communication skills
Respectful, conscientious, flexible, confident, mature nature, articulate.
Awareness and sensitive to specific needs regarding a healthcare environment

Please note, the successful candidate must undergo and clear a Security Check (BS7858)
