Balfour Beatty are currently looking for a Security Manager to join our Regional team based near Cambridge
Within this role you'll be a major contributor to our nationally important, multi-year defence infrastructure programme.
By joining our well-established teams to deliver a strong future pipeline of large-scale, complex Defence construction and building services projects, you’ll work with true experts who’ll share their knowledge, provide support and challenge so you never stop learning.
What you'll be doing
As a Security Manager you'll:
- Be the single point of responsibility for security management protocols and processes, office and site based on a secure project.
- Principle point of contact for security liaison;
- Management of the security vetting processes for Balfour Beatty staff and the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with customer security operational requirements and support the project team to manage the programme of works within those requirements.
- Manage physical and remote project access to ensure sufficiently security cleared resource.
- Identify solutions to strengthen security process and supports requests for derogations and improvement of timesacles.
- Regular security audits and briefings, both physical and personal, production of reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Management of drug and alcohol testing programme inconjunction with our Health & Safety Team.
- Management of the security team and liaison between internal partners such as logistics, production and commercial and externally with client stakeholders.
- Enforce security policies
- Create and manage the Security Management Plan
- Responsible for helping to build an effective team with an embedded security culture
- Support the delivery of the product and promote zero harm
- Regular communication with law enforcement
Who we're looking for
You'll need the following:
- Possess a current government security clearance level or able to obtain security clearance
- Hold a current driving license
- Able to supervise and develop direct reports, prioritising and delegating appropriately and effectively.
- Maintain a robust security culture across all levels of personnel.
- A good understanding of GDPR principals, GSC, and application to data sensitivity.
