Job Title: Security Guard - Nights
Salary: £24,024.00
Permanent/ Fixed Term: Permanent
Hours: 12-hour night shifts – 4 on 4 off (52 weeks per year)

Role:
We are searching for a Security Guard to carry out security checks throughout the Estate, ensuring that the expected high standards are met and maintained. The Security Guard will also ensure the safety of the collegiate site is their main priority in their time here with the organisation.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- To operate and monitor CCTV across the site
- Completion of all relevant forms and other documents
- Patrol as and when required – foot and mobile
- Lock up estates and school buildings
- Manning the gatehouse and monitoring operation of gates and entrances to site
- Monitoring staff entering and exiting the site
- Respond to all emergencies as and when required
- Attending fire alarms for estate buildings and liaise with fire brigade as and when appropriate
- To be responsible for the obligations placed on an employee under the Health and Safety Work Act 1974 with respect to building operatives
- Undertake any training when requested and as and when required
- Respond to all instructions efficiently and safely
The Appointed Candidate will have:
- CCTV experience
- Experience of security
- The ability to carry out instructions safely and carefully
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations as they pertain to the role
- Experience of working on a school site (Desirable)
- General knowledge of other trades, such as basic maintenance (Desirable)
- Ability to demonstrate a self-motivated, honest, trustworthy, flexible, friendly, and positive work ethic
