Role Description

To ensure controlled and authorized access to site with a key focus on personnel, transport and site premises health and safety standards.

Key Accountabilities

Safety is a condition

• Keep our employees and visitors safe by always maintaining a professional and effective security presence. This includes patrolling, maintaining a safe and secure environment, ensuring all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.
• Being the welcoming face to our sites ensuring standardized security screening and checks are conducted and documented for visitors.
• Have safety as a key priority while completing any tasks.
• Embrace “Go for Zero” and promote positive behaviors and encourage others to work safely, when unsafe practices have been observed.
• Follow and improve standards for personnel entry, traffic control and accident prevention.
• Identify, rectify, and report security and health risks to facilitate prevention of incidents.
• Completing security reports and company documentation including accurate and comprehensive incident reports and supporting the implementation of preventative actions.
• Monitor and manage key and vulnerable access points - e.g., main/rear entrances, fire exits, secured offices.
• Completing near miss reporting.
• Offering support to other security teams and supporting evacuations and/or emergency situations when required.
• Protecting the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.

OPEX Improvement

• Work towards improving key metrics for the security team and be involved in 3C problem solving activity.
• Standardize area of responsibility by following all available 5S, Standard Operating Procedures and other standards required to run the area effectively.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve H&S and maximize efficiency.

Skills and Experience

• Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills
• Fluency of English language (Oral and Written)
• Experience in working in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) / security businesses

Qualification [Accredited]

• Foundation level Health and Safety
