We currently have an exciting oppotunity for our next Security Day Guard to join our Team at the Hartlepool Station.
Becoming a member of Hartlepool’s Security team you’ll conduct yourself in a professional, approachable and safety focused manner. Site safety and security will be at the forefront of your everyday operations, not only supporting your wider team but also ensuring the safety of colleagues, visitors and the wider public.
You’ll manage varying requests from stakeholders on site, perform routine duties to ensure Station security but also utilise OPEX to constantly improve yourself and your teams knowledge to remain on top of your game.

Pay, Benefits and Culture
We can offer a competitive salary from £28,140 - £31,928 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be performing patrolling duties, monitoring CCTV, using security systems and radio communications as well as driving site vehicles. You’ll be communicating and co-operating with different levels of staff, contract partners and regulators. There will be times when you’ll be assisting with unexpected events for which you’ll need to be proactive, level-headed and actively seeking resolutions.
Alongside the above, on a routine basis you’ll:
Ensure all activities, including those undertaken by contract partners, are carried out with full regard to site licence requirements, security agreements, statutory regulations, company and local directives, procedures and safety rulesImplement necessary procedures to control access and egress of individuals to site and restricted areas
Be a competent figure in the team, undertaking and advising on all general security guard duties
Maintain appropriate records of occurrences and all logs related to the security department and production of management printouts and/or reports as requested
Who you are
Ideally, you’ll hold a minimum of GCSE/National Qualification standards (or equivalent), an NVQ level 2 in security would be desirable but not essential.
You’ll be self-motivated, resilient and highly professional. Ideally having come from a regulated security background, working to strict regulations and procedures.
Relevant security experience such as; patrolling, person/bag and vehicle searching, key control and CCTV operation as well as other tasks that you may have undertaken previously will be advantageous.
As the role of a Security Guard is customer-facing, and at times highly demanding, you’ll naturally have exceptional people skills and be able to work in extremely challenging and fast paced environments.
