Job description
The company has a vacancy for a Security Guard to work as part of a job share arrangement with one other employee. Between you and your job-sharer colleague, you will complete the hours required of a single full-time employee.The average working week would be 21 hours. The shifts are 12 hours in duration and include both days and nights. However, you will be required to work additional hours to provide cover for your job-sharer in the event of their sickness absence or when they are on annual leave if cover cannot be sourced on a voluntary basis.The schedule is a continuous shift pattern that runs consecutively throughout all 52 weeks of the year and provides 24/7 coverage. The job share is 2 x day shifts followed by 8 days off followed by 2 x night shifts and then four days off.The hourly rate would start at £14.83, increasing to £15.70. These figures are inclusive of the shift premium.As a Security Guard you would be responsible for helping to maintain a safe and secure premises by controlling access, completing site, and building inspections, monitor grounds and buildings by use of CCTV and integrated monitoring systems.
