JOB TITLE: Site Duty Manager
REPORTING TO: Facilities manager
LOCATION: London Designer outlet, Wembley HA9 0QL
CONTRACT: Fulltime permanent
HOURS: 42 hours per week
SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off
PAY RATE: £38000
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
As a security Manager of an iconic destination that welcomes millions of visitors a year, you will be required to manage the delivery of the security services to the standards required of ABM and the client. You will be responsible for ensuring that the site is secured and safe to a level of service which exceeds our visitors, brand partners and client’s expectations. As part of the on-site management team based in the heart of this iconic vibrant community, you will play a key part in delivering security ensuring customer service is the golden thread running through everything we do. Managing a team of officers and controllers working on a shift rotation as an integral part of the management team you will be required to duty manage the centre one weekend in six.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the delivery of the contract in line with company policies and procedures
- Ensure all licenses and vetting for security teams are in place and updated accordingly
- Build and maintain a team that has the skills and diversity to deliver their tasks ensuring that they have the tools to do the job
- Control the delivery of the staff rosters, completion of payroll and correct manning levels ensuring compliance is always maintained
- Manage recruitment, induction training, developing, and retraining of staff, to include customer service training
- Conduct quality audits to ensure service delivery adheres to the requirements of ISO9001 and exceeds client requirements
- Prioritise all incidents ensuring all key personnel are kept fully always informed
- Ensure strict compliance to the Data Protection Act and associated regulations
- Ensure objectives, performance reviews and Toolbox Talks are completed monthly
- Manage the incident and accident reporting procedures
- Ensure all assignment instructions and risk assessments are updated and meet the needs of the site specifics specifications
- Manage maintenance activities and the correct/safe usage of all equipment on site ensuring any faults are reported and resolved as a matter of priority, keeping the client always informed
- Planning and delivery of events
- To take responsibility for the Centre Operations in the absence of the client, FM and ensure coordination and safe control of all activities
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE – ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Great communication skills and able to engage effectively, with a wide range of audiences including clients, careers, staff, and other professionals.
- Excellent written and spoken English and the ability to compile clear and concise written reports.
- Good budget management skills.
- Able to solve problem and make decisions.
- Able to lead skills and can effectively manage change.
- Preferable experience in working with retail operations, large scale event delivery.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- IOSH Qualification or equivalent H&S qualification
- Security Qualified (SIA) and knowledge of industry best practice & CCTV license
- First Aid and Incident Management
- Security management experience
- Customer service experience
